Hi folks,
I'm back! Not that you missed me or anything...all, what, five or six of you?
I left Farcebook for one simple reason...Zark Muckerberg was/is blatantly selling Farcebook's audience out. Selling photos and information, then lying about it. So, Farcebook isn't the kind of platform I'm interested in using anymore.
I've also got to admit, Farcebook was only a place where I could share my stories, photos, thoughts and ruminations, but heck, I can do that here just as well and I don't have to worry about somebody stealing my shit.
*News FLASH! I just read that the Federal Trade Commission fined Zark's ass for billions of dollars, the largest KACHING in FTC history. Only problem, we're the one's he stole information from but we don't get any of those billions. Where am I? Oh yeah, the United States...
In addition, as some of you know, I'm hacking WiFi signals so I don't have to pay for Internet service. The downside to this highly illegal practice, is on occasion my signal is very weak and I just can't accomplish anything online until the signal picks up again. Sometimes my downtime encompasses weeks and months, and sometimes it only lasts for a couple days. There is just no telling what my connectivity is going to be like from day to day. But, today it is good. Not stellar, not meh, but good.
Most of my online activity has been downloading movies from torrent sites, so without a doubt the WiFi signal I'm hacking into throttles down in order to choke me out. I run a VPN and other programs to hide my IP address, so no worries there, but my idea in regards to hacking signals is not without solid reasoning.
Take anything in life that people enjoy, such as the Internet, eating, smoking legal weed, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, watching television, traveling, and I'm sure you can come up with many others...
How many of those things are controlled by HUGE monopoly companies? If you think about it, there's not much in this world that we enjoy that isn't controlled by billion or trillion dollar industries. And, who suffers? Always the average Joe, or Jim, or Sally. The regular public doesn't have much in this world that doesn't come with a high price tag due to monopoly companies running the show.
So, I fight back anyway I can, and a good part of what I do is illegal, such as hacking WiFi signals. There is a lot in this world that could be enjoyed free or at a very low cost, but if there is money to be made, you can bet it will eventually be controlled by Big Brother. So, I stick it to them anyway I can.
Sorta like that old cartoon of the cornered mouse giving the finger to the huge, hungry cat that is looming over him (or her)...remember that?
And so should you...stick it to em' I say.
As predictable as it is for monopoly companies to jump on something desirable to the public, there's a hacker (in every sense of the word) who's going to find a way around paying the exorbitant cost companies impose on coveted goods. You just gotta figure out how.
Buying bootleg cigarettes sans tax stamps (better yet, QUIT smoking...at $15.00 a pack in New York, who needs the shit?). Hacking the Internet. Growing your own weed on the sly (which I've...um...thought of doing). Downloading bootleg movies using a torrent...
And now, in the age of the Internet, there is so much information out there in the form of websites, YouTube, and other platforms that help us to learn how to circumvent the proverbial "SYSTEM" that it would be a crying shame if you didn't take advantage of it.
So, I encourage you to fight this Internet Crime. Oh, I know...you like Farcebook and you have friends there, but wake up! There are alternatives to Farcebook! Open up your own blogosphere, like I have, or create a website of your own with the many platforms on the Internet that allow you to do so, free.
Get active! Push out platforms like FARCEBOOK whose primary goal is not to create a public community, but more like a platform of money-making information stealing bullshit, which none of us needs!
Only you can change what the real Internet is designed for!
This, my first post since leaving Farcebook, is going to only be known to my friends. But, be patient. Check in from time-to-time. I could be going through one of those 'weak signal' gluts and can't manage to get on here and post stuff. But, I'm glad you're here! Sit back and stay a while (as long as you're bringing the beer!).
Mr. Retired Jim
